The Anambra State Police Command has recovered the three remaining bodies of the victims of a boat accident that occurred Wednesday along the River Niger.
The tragic incident, which claimed the lives of popular Nollywood actor Pope Obumneme Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, and four others, happened as the movie cast and crew were returning to Asaba from a movie location.
Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga while making the disclosure said marine police operatives of the Command recovered the bodies. One body was recovered in the early hours of Friday while two bodies were earlier recovered on Thursday evening.
Ikenga disclosed further that the Command had already deposited the recovered bodies in a mortuary at the nearby Asaba area, and had also notified the President of the Guild of Actors and Actresses about the latest development.
