Lawmakers at the Ondo State House of Assembly have commenced impeachment proceedings against the state’s deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi.
The charge against the deputy governor who decamped from the ruling APC in the state to the opposition PDP where he intends to contest against his boss, governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the guber election scheduled for later in the year is “gross misconduct.”
Anti riot policemen and other security agents were seen around the assembly premises trying to maintain law and order within the complex and in the capital Akure.
