Minna residents in Niger State staged a large-scale protest against the economic hardship in Nigeria, stemming from the escalating cost of living due to economic challenges. On Monday, women and numerous youths gathered at the roundabout in the Pkakungu area of Minna to articulate their concerns.
The demonstrators, including youth and men, obstructed the road, halting vehicular traffic. Despite police attempts to quell the protest, the protesters persisted until the state’s deputy governor, Yakubu Garba, addressed them.
The protest underscores the widespread dissatisfaction with the economic conditions and the urgency for attention to address the challenges faced by the populace.
