The Lagos State Police are currently in pursuit of the individual who purchased a baby abducted by a domestic worker in Shomolu.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, confirmed that the buyer abandoned the baby at Alade Market, Shomolu, to avoid capture as the police intensified their search. Law enforcement successfully rescued the baby, who was subsequently identified and reunited with her parents.
The incident was initially reported by @Simmm_K on social media, who shared that a house help had absconded with her colleague’s baby. The home help was later apprehended in Ikorodu and admitted to selling the baby for N800,000. The police are actively working to apprehend the buyer involved in the illicit transaction.
