The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially declared former Minister of Power and Steel, Dr Olu Agunloye, as wanted.
The anti-graft agency issued the declaration based on allegations of corruption and forgery against Agunloye, a native of Akoko North Local Government Area in Ondo State. In September, the EFCC had previously interrogated Agunloye in connection with an alleged $6 billion Build, Operate and Transfer contract.
The EFCC posted the declaration on its website, featuring Agunloye’s image and urging individuals with relevant information on his whereabouts to contact their offices nationwide or reach out via email and phone.
In 2016, Agunloye joined the Social Democratic Party and contested as the party’s candidate in Ondo State’s gubernatorial election.
