Ondo State: NSCDC on Red Alert Against Oodua Nation Agitators

The Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has issued a directive to divisional officers and tactical teams to maintain a heightened state of readiness to counter any potential incursion by Oodua nation activists and other miscreants.

Commandant Oluyemi Ibiloye conveyed this message during the weekly muster parade, where the corps’ operations during the recent Eid-el Fitr celebration were evaluated. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a proactive stance in their duties and remaining politically neutral during ongoing political activities within the state.

In light of the various political rallies taking place in the state, Ibiloye ordered the intelligence department, armed squad, counter-terrorism unit, rapid response squad, and operations team to be on high alert to prevent any security breaches similar to those experienced in Oyo State.

The NSCDC reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and properties, protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, and ensuring the safety of all law-abiding citizens in Ondo State. The command’s quick response lines (08034027234, 08037871044, and 08032797388) are available to the public for prompt assistance and intelligence sharing.
