In his inaugural public appearance since rumors of his demise surfaced online, King Charles III of the United Kingdom welcomed Korean War veterans to Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
The royal family shared this news on social media, stating, “This morning, the King met veterans of the Korean War at Buckingham Palace to commemorate 70 years since the signing of the armistice that concluded the conflict.”
The UK embassy in Russia issued a statement on Monday, clarifying the false reports circulating about the 75-year-old monarch’s death from cancer. They emphasized that “reports about the death of King Charles are FAKE.”
Earlier in February, Buckingham Palace disclosed that the British monarch had been diagnosed with cancer, without specifying the type or stage. During his regular treatments, King Charles had put public duties on hold.
