Abuja-Lagos Highway To Be Ready In 2027 – FG

The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially declared that the highly anticipated Abuja-Lagos superhighway is set to be completed by 2027. Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, made this announcement during a press briefing in Lagos on Saturday, outlining the ambitious vision for this monumental infrastructure project.

The proposed 470-kilometer superhighway is slated to connect two major Nigerian cities, Abuja and Lagos, and is poised to revolutionize travel and transportation in the country. Minister Umahi confidently asserted that this highway, once completed, will stand the test of time, with a projected lifespan of  100 years.

According to the Minister of Works,

“The President has approved that I fast-track this project. This project is going to be two lanes, but each lane is going to be a two-carriage way, and it is going to be 14 metres. “The life shelf design of this superhighway is going to be 100 years and be completed in four years. We are not providing any kobo for the project, just assisting with direction.”
