President Bola Tinubu has directed the nation’s security agencies to use all available resources to rescue the remaining female students who were abducted from the Federal University, Gusau, in Zamfara State. President Tinubu emphasized that the safety of all Nigerians, including students, is a top priority for his administration, and he will not rest until the girls are brought home safely.
Reports indicate that approximately 24 students were forcibly taken from their educational sanctuary when armed bandits descended upon the community in the early hours of Friday. However, amidst the distressing situation, a glimmer of hope emerges as Force Information Officer, Operation Hadarin-Daji, Captain Ibrahim Yahaya, confirmed that six of the abducted students have been successfully rescued by dedicated troops.
In a statement released on Sunday by Ajuri Ngelale, the special adviser to the president, President Tinubu extended his heartfelt condolences to all families directly affected by this tragic incident. He affirmed that the primary duty of his administration is to safeguard the lives and well-being of every Nigerian citizen.
