The Ministry of Aviation has been renamed to the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace by the Federal Government.
The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, explained that the two fields are interconnected and Nigeria needs to establish policies in order to align with future developments.
The announcement was made during a Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The change was necessary due to the exclusive list and also due to the establishment of the African Aerospace and Aviation University in Abuja.
