FG promotes officer for gallantry during Kuje jail attack

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Service Board has authorized the elevation of Assistant Superintendent of Corrections ll James Benjamin to Assistant Superintendent of Corrections l for his bravery during the kuje jail attack in june 2022.

Umar Abubakar, spokesman for the Nigerian Correctional Service, announced the elevation on Thursday, May 3, saying it was based on the suggestion of the Service’s Controller-General, Haliru Nababa.

ASC l James Benjamin, who joined the Service as an Assistant Inspector on August 6, 2012, was formerly an Assistant Superintendent of Corrections ll.

The Controller-General, who was represented by Deputy Controller General in charge of the Directorate of Human Resources, Ahmadu Adamu, stated that the Service is ready to recognize and honor its personnel’s dedication to their jobs.
