Solomon Uzuokwu, a teenager, has been sentenced to one month in prison by the Magistrates court in Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos State, for making fake calls to emergency services.
Uzuokwu was found guilty of two charges for causing a disturbance in public and falsely reporting a fire emergency.
Magistrate Bambo Odueke ruled that those who make false calls within the state’s jurisdiction could face a fine or a month of community service as punishment.
