Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, has assured the Labour Party’s legal team that his commission was ready to fully cooperate with the party’s scrutiny of the 2023 presidential election documents.
INEC disclosed via its Twitter account, on Monday, that Mahmood has offered the party’s lawyers fresh assurances that the commission will make available all documents in its possession which the Labour Party might need to prove their case.
Recalling, the LP’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, vowed that the party will test the election results in court and prove to Nigerians that he won the election.
