Gunmen have invaded a branch of the Living Faith Church Worldwide in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The Church, founded by Bishop David Oyedepo, was attacked by the kidnappers when members were holding a meeting over the weekend, and no less than three persons were abducted.
The Chairman of Adavi Local Government Area, Joseph Salami, broke the news to journalists on Monday through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Habeeb Jamiu.
According to Salami, the gunmen, suspected to be bandits, shot endlessly into the air to scare the community, in the course of which they abducted their victims.
The council chairman said that he had visited the scene of the incident, alongside the Divisional Police Officer of Osara Division.
He said that the council was working with security agents to ensure the victims’ release.
