A fire incident has destroyed properties worth millions of Naira in the Dutse Ultra-modern market in the Dutse local government area of Jigawa State.
The fire incident, which was said to have started at about 5:30 am, gulped an entire rubber factory situated close to ice block producers’ shops.
Confirming the incident, a spokesperson of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), SC. Adamu Shehu, said the fire started from a burning garbage very close to the factory.
Adamu said a combined effort of NSCDC personnel, fire service and good Samaritans were able to quench the fire.
He added that no life was lost but properties worth millions of naira were consumed by the fire.
