Kidnappers demand cooked meal, wine, ‘suya’, before freeing abducted family of 5 in Ondo

A family of five, kidnapped in Ondo State during the Easter celebration, have been released by their abductors after an unspecified ransom and food items were collected by their abductors.

It was gathered that they were kidnapped on their way to Abuja after observing the Easter celebration in their hometown in Ajowa-Akoko, Akoko North West Local Government Area of the state.

The head of the family, identified as Olisa Ibrahim, his wife and three children, were kidnapped between Ajowa-Ayere kabba road in Kogi State and were asked to pay N10 million as ransom, including cooked meal, wine, suya, and other edibles as conditions for their release.

Although the amount of ransom paid was not disclosed, the victims said the requested food items were provided before they were released.
