The bodies of the 12 Soldiers killed by a local militia in Bonta community of Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State were laid to rest on Monday at a military cemetery at Wurukum in Makurdi, the state capital.
It was earlier reported that 11 soldiers and an official who were on peacekeeping mission were killed over land dispute between the Bonta community in Konshisha and Ukpute-Ainu community in Okay LGA.
Some top military officers were at the cemetery for the funeral.
