Three persons were reportedly killed by armed robbers on Tuesday while robbing a bank in the Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Governments Area of Delta State.
It was reported that the robbers stationed their gang members at strategic positions in the town while some of them robbed the bank unchallenged.
An eyewitness said that the customers were held hostage inside the bank for almost an hour, while other gang members outside shot indiscriminately.
He said, “Unfortunately, four persons died in the operation while many were injured and rushed to nearby hospitals.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident but could not give details of the robbery.
