Former NFF technical director, Laloko dies at 76

A former technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Kashimawo Laloko, has died at the age of 76.

This was revealed by his son, Adewale who said the veteran coach died on Sunday at the Sacred Heart’s Catholic Hospital, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Laloko was known for being vocal and critical on football issues. He was also known for his contributions to the Pepsi Football Academy which brought a lot of Nigerian footballers to the limelight.

Those discovered by the Pepsi Football Academy include Mikel Obi, Osaze Odemwingie, Soga Sambo, Elderson Echejile, Joseph Akpala and Yinka Adedeji.

However, the family of the late Laloko said he will be buried at his residence in Gbonagun, Abeokuta on Monday, March 29, 2021.
