Unknown gunmen on Tuesday abducted a middle-aged woman, Grace Ameh around Kubwa area of Abuja, the federal capital territory and shot her husband in the process.
According to eye witnesses, the men suspected to be kidnappers abducted Grace in her home as she was relaxing with her husband. Residents in the area are raising their voices against rising insecurity and rampant criminality in that part of the FCT.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Mariam Yusuf, confirmed the incident. He said police officers were on the move to rescue the victim and apprehend the perpetrators.
