Aero Contractors: Passengers Would No Longer Be Served Food On The Airplanes

Aero Contractors has announced that when flight operations resume, passengers would no longer be served food on the airplanes.

This was stated on Thursday morning by the Managing Director of Aero Contractors, Captain Ado Sanusi, in an interview with Channels Television.

He further explained that, serving food on the aircraft during flights would require passengers removing their face mask or shield to eat, which could sabotage the Covid-19 protocols of the Federal Government.

Sanusi also said most flight duration were less than one hour, and the longest flight in Nigeria, which is the Lagos-Maiduguri route, was just about an hour and few minutes, hence, it would not be necessary to serve food.

In his words; “There won’t be serving of food because that will increase the number of times you will be contacting passengers and then the passengers would be removing their face masks to eat the food, so I think it is not the best.

“It is a one hour flight. It is only in Nigeria that we serve food for a one-hour flight. Go anywhere in the world and you will see that hot meals are not served on one-hour flights.”

The Captain however, added that, only water would be served to passengers on airplanes.
