NAF Airstrike Kills Over 30 ISWAP Terrorists in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force’s air component of Operation Hadarin Kai (OPHK) has carried out a precise airstrike on the hideouts of ISWAP terrorists, resulting in the elimination of over 30 fighters within Kolleram village along Lake Chad’s shores.

AVM Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, announced in a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday that the airstrikes conducted on April 13 were a significant blow to terrorism in the North-East region.

The operation achieved notable success, with a post-strike battle damage assessment confirming the neutralization of more than 30 terrorists, including senior commanders like Ali Dawud, Bakura Fallujah, and Mallam Ari.

The airstrikes led to the destruction of numerous vehicles, motorcycles, and logistical assets, severely impeding the operational capabilities of the terrorists. Intelligence reports revealed that a key facility within the Kolleram enclave, serving as a hub for the insurgents’ food processing activities, was effectively obliterated by the aerial bombardment, including grinding machines.

This successful operation highlights the Nigerian Air Force’s dedication to eradicating terrorism and safeguarding the nation’s citizens. By eliminating key terrorist leaders and disrupting their logistical infrastructure, the operation has significantly weakened the ISWAP group’s capabilities in the region.

These airstrikes complement the ongoing efforts of ground forces in the Lake Chad region and mark a crucial advancement in the fight against terrorism in Nigeria, demonstrating a coordinated and effective approach to combating insurgency and ensuring the safety and security of the populace.
