Adamawa Police Parades 58 Suspected Robbers, Kidnappers

The Adamawa State Police Command paraded 58 individuals on Tuesday, March 19, including 40 members of the Shila Boys, a young criminal group. The Shila Boys, known for daylight robberies in Yola, were apprehended in Sambisa Forest, a hideout near Yola. Commissioner Dankombo Morris disclosed that 11 suspects were involved in kidnapping, and seven in highway robberies.

The police initiated a successful operation in Sambisa Forest, resulting in the arrest of 40 Shila Boys and the recovery of dangerous weapons. Additionally, five armed robbery suspects were caught in Jimeta, Yola, and an armed kidnappers’ gang was apprehended in Ngurore.

The arrests, made over the past month, led to the recovery of items such as a Toyota Prado Jeep, a Hummer bus, two AK-47 rifles, charms, and phones.
