On the 20th of November, 2018, Former President Goodluck Jonathan turned 61, he used the occassion to launch a book titled: ”My Transition Hours” an expository of the memorable moment he handed over power to the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari.
The book launch featured dignitaries from across Africa including the members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) led by its Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole. Politics was set aside and an iconic leader was celebrated by all.
Born on November 20, 1957, Jonathan is undoubtedly a great leader and has managed to captivate the minds of many people in different ways.

1. The First Nigerian Leader with PHD: Former President, Goodluck Jonathan was the one that possessed highest level of academic qualifications before being sworn-in as President. He obtained PHD in Zoology from the University of Port-Harcourt.
Former Presidents Nnamdi Azikiwe and Olusegun Obasanjo also bagged PHDs, they however got theirs after they completed their tenures.
2. First Nigerian President from the South South: Nigeria has had 13 Presidents/Heads of State, non, except Jonathan, emerged from the South South Region of the country.
3. First Nigerian leader to Rise through the Ranks: Former President Goodluck Jonathan made history as the first Nigerian leader to rise through the ranks in Nigeria’s political history.
He was first a Deputy Governor, A Governor, A Vice President and A President.
4. The First Incumbent President to lose Election: Jonathan also made history as the first incumbent Nigerian President to lose election in Nigeria. He’s also the first elected Nigeria’s President to hand over power to another elected President.
Indeed, former President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan has endeared himself in the minds of many for many good reasons, politics apart, he’s indeed a man whom everyone wished “Goodluck”.
