The Senator Representing Bayelsa East at the Senate, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has accused Nigeria’s Security agents of harassing Former Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.
Bruce, in a Tweet on Sunday said Atiku was harassed’ by men of different security agencies when he landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Bruce condemned the purported ‘harassment’ of Atiku saying “Nigeria is not a fascist state, he added “we will not return to a jackboot dictatorship.
“This government should face Atiku at the polls, not with force” He tweeted.
Atiku, in a tweet also confirmed that he was intimidated at the Airport by security agents.
”I arrived to Abuja this morning to a search by agents of the state,aimed at intimidating me and my staff.
I am committed to building a Nigeria where no citizen is intimidated by agents of state who are paid to protect them. His Tweet read.
