As momentum builds up for Nigeria’s forthcoming 2019 general elections, stakeholders want the National Electoral Commission, INEC, to be truly independent. INEC’s conduct of the election process without interference from the government and/or Political parties would ensure that the average Nigerian reposes faith in the polity.
