The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, has appointed Mohamed Fall, a Senegalese national, as the new Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria. Fall, who assumed the position in February, brings over 20 years of experience in development, humanitarian, and peacebuilding efforts.

He previously served as UNICEF Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa, overseeing 21 country offices, and has held various roles in UNICEF across different countries, including Nigeria, Central African Republic, and Mongolia.
