The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, announced on Tuesday that the sit-at-home order in the Southeast region has come to an end.
He made this declaration during the COAS combined second and third-quarter conference in Abuja.
General Lagbaja credited the termination of this menace to the increased efforts of troops working in conjunction with relevant stakeholders. He emphasized that Operation Udoka, involving the army and other partners, successfully put an end to the disruptive sit-at-home order imposed by the Indigenous People of Biafra and Eastern Security Network, which had severely impacted socio-economic activities in the region.
