The federal government has expressed its commitment to ensuring Nigeria has a voice in the development and regulations of Artificial Intelligence AI on the global stage.
Minister of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, made these remarks at a workshop on National AI Strategy, highlighting the transformative potential of AI across various sectors of the economy.
With the global GDP for AI expected to reach $15.7 trillion by 2030, Tijjani underscored the need for Nigeria to be an active participant in the development and deployment of AI technologies.
The workshop, attended by over 120 local and international organizations, aims to develop a strategic roadmap for Nigeria’s participation and leadership in the global AI market.
