Abuja School Investigates Viral Video of Student Being Bullied

Lead British International School in Abuja has taken action in response to a disturbing viral video depicting a female student being bullied by her peers.

The school administration has expressed its disapproval of the incident and confirmed the commencement of an investigation into the matter.

The circulating videos on social media have caused outrage, showing a female student from the school being harassed by fellow students in what seems to be an interrogation scenario.

The victim endured multiple slaps from another female student, with other students present, seemingly aware of the situation.

A user @mooyeeeeeee made an urgent plea for justice for the victim, sharing the videos and advocating for a broader social movement against bullying.

The user’s message read: “There’s a video I’m about to post. I need you guys to help me get justice for her. She was bullied in her school by her classmates at Lead British School, Abuja. Please make it go viral so she can get justice.”

One of the videos captures a girl slapping the victim while questioning, “Who broke my heart?” In another video, the victim is seen sitting next to a male student who confesses, “I ruined her relationship.”

Abraham Ogunkambi, the Head of Lead British International School, released a statement on Tuesday detailing the actions being taken by the school.

Ogunkambi stated, “The school management is treating this matter with the utmost seriousness.” He mentioned that the school has reached out to the victim and her parents, offering support and counseling services to help them cope with the emotional and psychological impact of the incident.
