JAMB Begins Sale of Direct Entry Forms, Includes Foreign Candidates

The sale of Direct Entry (DE) Forms by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has begun nationwide, including selected foreign centers.

Starting on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, and closing on Thursday, March 28, 2024, interested candidates, including foreign applicants seeking tertiary education in Nigeria via the Direct Entry mode, can register.

According to Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s spokesperson, the Board aims to ensure equal opportunities for all candidates, regardless of their status.

He emphasized that the Board will not process applications from awarding institutions that have failed to verify A’level certificates presented by candidates for the 2023 admission.

Candidates not awaiting results are required to upload their A’ level qualifications, O’level results, and DE registration template during registration. DE candidates awaiting A’level results such as IJMB/JUPEB/NABTEB must upload their Admission Letter and Registration Template.

For those with Cambridge certificates predating 2018, verification should be done directly through Cambridge.

The verification process may take up to 28 days, and the results will be forwarded to the Board and reflected on the e-Facility profile of the DE candidate. Candidates can use a statement of results (instead of a certificate) for registration within three years of the award date.

JAMB also provides a chance for UTME candidates to upgrade to DE. This is available only for candidates whose DE results were not released during UTME registration, provided they indicated at registration that they were awaiting A’level results. The necessary particulars should be supplied and included in the uploaded registration template.
