NIDCOM Boss Congratulates Two Nigerian Diasporans for Achievements

Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has extended congratulations to Councilor Abigail Marshall Katung and Tope Awotona for their recent achievements.

In a congratulatory message conveyed through Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the Director of Media and Public Relations, Dabiri-Erewa praised the newly appointed Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councilor Abigail Marshall Katung, a British-Nigerian, for her historic appointment.

Katung, the first elected African Councilor in Leeds, has a track record of significant accomplishments and contributions to her community. Dabiri-Erewa expressed confidence in Katung’s ability to make a positive impact during her tenure and called on Nigerians in Leeds to provide their support.

Tope Awotona, a Nigerian-born entrepreneur and founder/CEO of Calendly, a scheduling software company, was also acknowledged by Dabiri-Erewa. Forbes reports that Awotona, who moved to the US during his teenage years, has a net worth of $1.2 billion, with his company valued at over $3 billion.

Dabiri-Erewa described the achievements of Councilor Katung and Tope Awotona as well-deserved and wished them success in their respective endeavors.
