Six players have been selected as nominees for the Nigeria Premier Football League Player of the Month award for March.

The shortlisted players are Adams Olamilekan (Remo Stars), Christian Pyagbara (Shooting Stars), Godwin Obaje, Ejike Ugochukwu (Rangers), Nenrot Silas (Plateau United), and Sani Suleiman (Akwa United).

Veteran forward Obaje scored twice for the Flying Antelope during the month, while midfielder Ugochukwu stood out in his role, contributing to Rangers’ climb to the top of the NPFL table.

Olamilekan secured two match-winning goals in games against Enyimba and Bayelsa United, helping Remo Stars secure two of their three wins in the review period, keeping them in the NPFL title race.

Pyagbara continued his impressive form for Shooting Stars by netting four goals in March.

Silas achieved a hat-trick for Plateau United, taking his season’s goal tally to six.

Suleiman has taken on the goal-scoring mantle for Akwa United since his mid-season transfer to the club, proving to be one of the best signings of the window. He scored five goals in the month, making it a total of six in five matches for the Promise Keepers.

The winner of the award will be announced in the upcoming week.
