The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has selected seven coaches as candidates for the vacant head coach position of the Super Eagles.
As reported by SCORENigeria, one of the shortlisted coaches is the current interim head coach of the team, Finidi George, who recently led the Super Eagles in friendly matches against Ghana and Mali.
The NFF announced the vacancy earlier this month after the contract of the former head coach, Jose Peseiro, expired. Peseiro guided the Super Eagles to a second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Applications were received from both local and foreign coaches by the NFF, which is now set to announce the appointment of a permanent head coach for the Super Eagles next month.
