Manchester United Tipped to Make Summer Move for Victor Osimhen

An Italian agent has suggested that Manchester United could make a significant move for Victor Osimhen in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Napoli forward has also been linked with a potential move to Chelsea.

Despite signing a new contract until December 2026, the 25-year-old is expected to depart the Serie A champions in the coming months. Alongside interest from the Premier League, Osimhen has emerged as a target for Paris Saint-Germain, who are bracing for the departure of Kylian Mbappe this summer.

Reports suggest that Chelsea is keen on securing a new striker during the summer, with Osimhen reportedly at the top of their list of targets. However, agent Roberto De Fanti has hinted that a move to Old Trafford could also be a possibility.

In an earlier statement this month, former Chelsea defender William Gallas cautioned his former club that acquiring Osimhen might not resolve all their issues. He remarked, “Victor Osimhen to Chelsea? One player won’t transform Chelsea’s fortunes.

“Even if they buy one striker, you have to be sure the players around him have the quality to supply that striker. The squad is very young. So next year we may see an improvement in the team and they might compete for the Premier League.”

De Fanti, in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, stated, “I could say everyone, but the truth is that United above all are looking for a centre forward. Hojlund is doing reasonably well, but the classic number No.9 – the [Erling] Haaland of the situation – could be Osimhen.”
