Egypt Leads Medal Table at All-African Games in Ghana

Egypt is leading the medal rankings at the ongoing All-African Games in Ghana, with a total of 175 medals including; 94 gold, 43 silver, and 38 bronze medals.

As of Thursday afternoon, Egypt maintains its top position in the medal standings due to exceptional performances across various events, particularly in table tennis, wrestling, and swimming.

The North African nation holds the lead with a total of 167 medals (92 gold, 41 silver, and 34 bronze) achieved thus far.

Following Egypt is Nigeria in second place with 90 medals (35 gold, 23 silver, and 32 bronze).

South Africa follows closely with 97 medals (29 gold, 38 silver, and 38 bronze), while Algeria holds 98 medals (23 gold, 33 silver, and 42 bronze), and Tunisia has 66 medals (16 gold, 21 silver, and 29 bronze), rounding up the top five countries.

The host nation, Ghana, occupies the sixth spot on the medal standings with 49 medals (10 gold, 23 silver, and 16 bronze).

Completing the top 10 are Mauritius, Eritrea, Morocco, and Ethiopia.

From the 11th to the 20th positions on the list are Kenya, Madagascar, Niger, Cameroon, Senegal, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Benin, Libya, and Namibia.
