Four managers have been shortlisted for the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL Coach of the Month award for April.
The nominees are Fidelis Ilechukwu (Rangers), Gbenga Ogunbote (Shooting Stars), Mohammed Majin (Niger Tornadoes), and Stanley Eguma (Rivers United). Ilechukwu’s Rangers maintained their top position with three wins and 10 goals scored, while Ogunbote led Shooting Stars to four wins.
Eguma’s Rivers United and Majin’s Niger Tornadoes also showed strong performances, with the winner to be decided by a panel of experts and announced on May 10, 2024.
The nominees for the NPFL Player of the Month award for March include Clinton Jephta (Niger Tornadoes), Deputy Echeta (Rivers United), Junior Lokosa (Sporting Lagos), Michael Ibe (Katsina United), Sikiru Alimi (Remo Stars), and Ubong Friday (Akwa United). Veteran forward Ubong Friday and Sikiru Alimi are among the top contenders, having scored five and three goals respectively during the month.
The winner will be announced later this week.
