The Nigerian legal team on the P&ID case held a strategic review session with their foreign counterparts shortly after arriving London on Thursday, to prepare its strategies in order to present a convincing new case before the London commercial and arbitration court.
The Nigerian team which is led by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, met with the Nigerian High Commission in London for hours and exchanged legal notes and how best to proceed with the case in view of emerging information regarding P&ID in Nigeria.
Nigeria is expected to file an appeal before the court stating that P&ID has been convicted of corruption and its assets forfeited to the Federal Government. The country will also sue for the revocation of the $9.6Bn earlier granted to the company.
