The chairman and secretary-general of The Lagos Renaissance Group Mr. Daniel Awesu and Abdul-Quadri Enikanolaiye, have said all attacks on the person of former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode would fail. The LRG condemned the anti-Ambode protests that took place at the Lagos Secretariat yesterday.
Recall that on August 20th, The EFCC says it has received a petition against Ambode and is investigating him for alleged corruption. Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) went to the Epe residence of former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Ambode was governor between 2015 and 2019, handing over to Babajide Sanwo-Olu in May after a failed bid for a second term and a very public falling out with the leadership of his All Progressives Congress (APC).
