The kidnap of five senior pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has generated a wild outrage and condemnation amongst a cross-section of Nigerians.
The General-Oversea of RCCG, Enoch Adeboye had announced the abduction at the Redeemed Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
He said the five pastors were kidnapped on their way to attend the Church’s Ministers Conference in Lagos.
He was quoted as saying, “As a father, how do you think I should feel to hear that five of my children have been kidnapped while on their way to attend the Ministers Conference?”
However, some Nigerians, including Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode expressed outrage saying the abductions should be a wakeup call on the RCCG leadership to “renounce and condemn’ Buhari’s led government.

Dear Sir, it is time for you to condemn and renounce Buhari. If not this madness will NOT stop.

5 Redeemed Church of God Pastors abducted in Ijebu Ode. This is so sad. Pastor Osinbajo of RCCG over to you. Is Buhari still your Messiah? Do you still want us to be praying for the Fulani herdsmen? How many more people do they have to slaughter and abduct before your eyes open?
