CUPP: Buhari, El-Rufai Plotting to Keep El-Zakzaky in Detention

The Coalition of Opposition Political Parties (CUPP) says it has uncovered plots by President Muhammadu Buhari and Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai to keep the Leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky in detention despite an order of the court that granted him leave to seek medical treatment abroad.

CUPP, in a statement by its Spokesperson, Ikenga Ugochinyere, said the non-release of the Shiites Leader was a violation of the rule of law.

“The Opposition Coalition (CUPP) wish to shockingly announce to you today of the refusal of the APC led Federal Government in connivance with the Kaduna State Government led by Gov Nasir El-rufai to release the Shiites leader Mallam Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife from detention.

“This is contrary to public posturing of the Federal Government and their security agencies that they have obeyed the order.

CUPP disclosed that it “has obtained new intelligence of a well calculated plot by the APC Government in connivance with Kaduna State Government led by Governor El-rufai to frustrate the court order granting bail to Mallam Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife and continue to keep them in detention with new strange legal demands unknown to law and designed to ensure the Shiites leader remains and dies in illegal detention eventually by been denied access to needed urgent medical attention.

“This fragrant violation of law and order is how our nation has turned into poverty capital of the world, headquarters of killer bandits in West Africa, corruption centre, nepotism hub etc.
