Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has revealed why he won’t reverse the creation of new Emirates in the state.
Ganduje, insisted that the new Emirates have come to stay despite the backlash that followed the creation and appointment of new Emirs.
He said the idea of the new Emirates was to bring government closer to the people.
He also confirmed that the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi is no longer the only first class monarch in the state.
A High Court had restrained the Governor from implementing the decentralisation of Kano Emirate until a full hearing on the matter could be heard.
