The Senate has bemoaned the frequent herdsmen attacks on farming communities leading to loss of lives and properties.
The Senate urged the Federal Government to stop the movement of herds of cattle in the country to stop criminals posing as herdsmen and carry out attacks.
The Senator representing the Uzo-uwani senatorial district, Chukwuka Utazi, sponsored a motion ‘the existential threat to the people of Uzo-Uwani’ asking the security agencies to immediately tackle crime in the area.
He added the security forces should find the suspected killer herdsmen that killed Nnamdi Ogueche as a matter of urgency.
