Reactions have continued to trail the planned arraignment of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen at the Code of Conduct Tribunal for alleged non-declaration of asset.
A Coalition of Niger Delta agitators said it will not hesitate to mobilize all the Niger Delta fighters and initiate serious action that would shake the country and the whole world if the Federal Government did not reverse what it termed as ‘harassment against the CJN’.
In other reactions, five of the six governors of the south-south have called on the CJN to ignore the CCT summons.
The Governors also called on the President to intervene and save the country from global embarrasement and contempt.
Senate President Bukola Saraki said the plan to prosecute the CJN has opened up the debate on the transparency and neutrality of the present administration’s fight against corruption.
Onnoghen is expected to appear before the CCT on Monday over a six-count charge of alleged false declaration of assets.
