A Federal High Court has stopped the arraignment of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen at the Code of Conduct Tribunal over alleged non-declaration of assets.
The court ruled that statuo quo be maintained till January 17 when the case would be heard.
Meanwhile, the Code of Conduct Tribunal has adjourned hearing in the suit involving the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen over alleged non-declaration of assets. The CJN failed to make an appearance in court.
The hearing was adjourned to January 22nd, 2019 after the counsel to the Federal Government admitted that the CJN was improperly served.
The Court also ruled that the application challenging its jurisdiction to hear the matter will be heard at the next sitting.
