CUPP Rejects INEC Plan to Draft Election Guidelines, want Zakari Redeployed

CUPP has rejected the purported plan by INEC to introduce new election guidelines ahead of the 2019 general elections.

It said the Commission has introduced obnoxious clauses in the new guidelines but the 61 opposition parties under CUPP are demanding for the retention of the 2015 electoral guidelines.

Amongst the clauses according to CUPP are plan to use former Youth corpers and staff of federal govt agencies as Adhoc Staff and creation of secret polling units called voting point settlement.

The Coalition also wants INEC to redeploy Amina Zakari as head of the collation centre and replace the Federal Commissioner incharge of Operation, Okechukwu Ibeanu to ensure credibility and balancing.

.Political parties demand retention of 2011 and 2015 separate accreditation time and separate voting time to help forstall rigging with the presence of voters at the polling unit instead of INEC 2019 simultaneous accreditation and voting.
