President Muhammadu Buhari at a campaign rally in Delta State apparently forgot he was minister of Petroleum in 1976-1978.
He had said he was Petroleum Minister in 1984, or 78 to 79 while expressing how passionate he was about the petroleum sector.
However, records showed the President was in1978-to-1979 Military Secretary at the Army Headquarters, and was also a member of the Supreme Military Council.
He was also the military Head of State in 1984 he erroneously quoted in his speech.
Opposition PDP had repeatedly questioned the health status of the President declaring him unfit to run for second term in office.
