INEC has removed from its list, the names of all the APC candidates contesting for the 2019 House of Assembly elections in Rivers State.
This is in line with Federal High Court judgement which directed that the Commission must not recognise the Ameachi led faction of the party in the State.
It is yet to be seen what will be the fate of the APC’s governorship candidate in the State, Tonye Cole, as the same judgment was passed on him by the High Court.
INEC is expected to release the list of governorship candidates on January 31st.
