The Nigerian Military says it requires about N9 Billion annually to provide military boots, shoes and other kitting needs of the soldiers.
It says the amount will double if it is to provide two pairs each per soldier every year.
The military said if the huge sum is channeled to the indigenous leather industry, it will go a long way in revamping the sector and improving the national economy.
