The Nigerian Army says it will relocate residents of Baga to safer locations in view of the ongoing military operations in the area.
The town had come under intense attacks from ISWAP group but the military also advised the residents of Bama, Dikwa and Monguno communities not to abandon their communities and relocate to Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camps for undisclosed reasons.
The military said it is in firm control to guarantee “their safety and security warning that any attempt to cause further panic through false alarms would be viewed very seriously.
